Rating System
Skill Rating Core
The system works similarly to ELO in chess — you gain points for wins and lose them for losses. The more games you play, the more reliable and stable your rating becomes. New players start at 1500.
Dual Ratings System
Survivor and Infected ratings are tracked independently. The leaderboard ranks by Survivor rating. Click any player to see both ratings. Each side uses its own set of performance stats.
Performance Multiplier Key
Rating gains/losses are scaled by your individual performance. Each action has a weight — the more impactful your play, the more rating you earn from a win (or save from a loss). A performance multiplier of 1.0 is average; top performers can reach 1.5–2.0×.

Special Mechanics
Calibration
Your first 50 games are calibration matches. During this period your rating changes faster — big jumps both up and down are normal. After placement the system has enough data to stabilize your rating. The "Calibrating" badge is shown until all 50 games are played.
Upset Bonus
When a lower-rated team defeats a higher-rated team, winning players receive a larger rating boost. The system recognizes and rewards upsets.
Leaver Penalty
Players who disconnect before the match ends receive a loss regardless of the match outcome. The system does not reward abandoning your team.
Inactivity Decay
After 7 days without playing, the system becomes less confident in your rating. When you return, your first games will shift your rating more than usual — similar to a mini re-calibration. Play regularly to keep your rating stable.
